So what happens when you get a bunch of guys in the same room who share a love of music and singing and just having a good time and it all comes together in the occasional concert that people really seem to enjoy and more singers start getting together and more people start coming to the concerts and so on and so on?
What do you call that?
That's AMEn,
East Tennessee's Appalachian Men's Ensemble.

AMEn seeks to elevate the choral art of men singing through practice, performance, and educational outreach. We are committed to engage our audiences through musical precision, passion, creativity and encouragement. With a dual sense of fun and professional excellence, AMEn aims to bring a variety of well-written and well-performed choral music to different communities, near and far, and to educate, inspire, and entertain audiences through its activities.

A Few Words About Our September Concert Series...
A concert series about both War and Peace sounds rather in conflict. Yet that's kind of the point. Nothing is very often completely black or white. On one hand we must honor the courage and heroism of those who have left the comforts of home and family to fight so that our Country might remain strong. But in the same way, we must ever work to sing the song of peace. Of these two points in contrast, AMEn will perform September 26 and 27.
One of our new works which we will premiere in September captures this duality well.
